Force custom icon in img folder?

Postby umlautbastards » Sun Jan 31, 2010 6:35 am

Ok, this is my first question since I took the plunge and let LotusCMS become my CMS of choice (based mainly on the strength of the abillity to add totally custom coding giving a learning webmaster room to grow)
and I just need to know that I can upload the favicon of my choice to the img folder without the LotusCMS
overriding this - or am I going to be told that I have to spend $$$$ to remove it. I've looked almost everywhere concievable - unless it's in a hidden cache or something like that. Anyway, if I can't due to cash restrictions, it won't exactly hurt.

Refining approaches and info

Postby umlautbastards » Sun Jan 31, 2010 7:12 am

Forgot to mention that I have a custom template being triggered from the admin panel to be activated as a website module. Still can't manage to figure where the trigger is for the .ico file.

Postby umlautbastards » Mon Feb 01, 2010 4:17 am

 sorry if the question is a pre-school one, but it's been anything but easy and I don't have an offline installation to afford me the luxury of further investigation. developer? Any answer on your part as admin?

[SOLVED] Nevermind...I Fixed It Myself

Postby umlautbastards » Mon Feb 01, 2010 6:13 am

<link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://www.mydomain.com/myicon.ico"/> and then just pointed to the relative address of the file(/folder of file/file.ico) and that did the trick. I hope anyone having trouble with this will stumble over this posting :D
